Settlement in the amount of $275,000 for an accident in which Plaintiff was struck from behind by a Coca-Cola truck, causing her to sustain shoulder, neck and lower-back injuries.

K.S. v. Association of Retarded Citizens – Personal Injury – Mark Avera
Trial verdict in the amount of $450,000 for the case of “K.S.” a developmentally disabled young woman was sexually assaulted by an employee at a group home operated by the defendant.

Gilchrist v. Nationwide Insurance – Personal Injury – Mark AveraTrial verdict in the amount of $68,000 awarded to client Gilchrist, a law enforcement officer struck from behind in a motor vehicle crash.

Clendenning Estate v. Brevard County Sheriff’s Department – Wrongful Death – Mark Avera
Trial verdict in the amount of $900,000 awarded to estate. Decedent was killed when struck by a motor vehicle being pursued by sheriff’s deputies. Determination was made that the sheriff’s department violated its own internal policies in failing to terminate the pursuit when it became too dangerous.

Bondy v. Lewis v. (medical treatment center or Dr.) – Medical Malpractice – Mark Avera
Trial verdict in the amount of $2.6M in the case of cancer patient suffering improper placement of a port-a-cath for the administration of chemotherapy.
